The main goal of the Chamber Trio is to create an interactive, polyphonic musical network that embraces the intimacy and transparency of chamber music formations without sacrificing rhythmic power or a sense of playful improvisation.
All three musicians share a keen sense of the culture of sound, which allows them to elicit a wide variety of timbres on their instruments. They are also great improvisers who are united by their joy of creating music in the moment.
This always includes a certain amount of risk while making music, which results in each concert becoming its own unique, individual snapshot in time.
As with all jazz ensembles, the key to their success is finding the right balance between the improvised spontaneity of the musicians and long-term, formative musical structures.
